(Continuous Data Protection) technology which consists in maintaining an history of changes of data in the source primairy storage to a destination storage volume. Unlike replication dthis technology has a multitude of restorable versions of the data, it is called APIT (Any Point In Time).
(Disk-To-Disk-To-Tape) process which consists of migrating backed-up data on a secondary storage disk-type device to a physical tape-type device in order to secure, and even to vault the data.
